Journey of Epiphany to Zhejiang
丽水七县，今游有四。松阳墟隐，缙云巘岑。雾断云和之垅，风联景宁之漈。峡外空山，万首无迹，好溪映带，瓯沚含烟。杖藜桃乡，猿径迷仙游之梦；簑笠洞天，鹤踪蹈霞举之筵。处州五日，遍历四塞，完山川之契、结今古之缘乃极矣。
In five days we left our peripatetic exploring footprints all around four out of Lishui’s seven counties (Zhejiang Province, east of China). On the breathtaking carpooling journey, the ever-obscure landscape hues of mysteries and epiphanies, both geographically and historically, radiated generous vibrancy before our starving seeking eyes. The ancient Songyang villages intact after dynasties of vicissitudes, the soaring crags along Jinyun’s overgrown brook fronts — we faced the secret scatterings of human-nature jigsaws, straight and stunned. The Yunhe terraced fields veiled themselves behind mists, winking and tempting the admirers with unfulfilled desires; the Jingning waterfall, however, spattered sprays of pride over every wind trail roared by. The visit ahead was with no exception unpredictable, and we were exactly feasting on such unpredictabilities. This journey was a predestined testament, we believe, to a lives-spanning promise with nature that we should be present for, and to a history-condensed unity with every likeminded society of preceding ages that we had been absent from.

雨中，车沿着溪边公路，不断穿过两边绿枝交欹而成的华盖，云雾底远山缭乱。车内慢歌闲谈，我就想这样一直开下去，目的地是这段旅程的名义，而非目标。
Down the riverside highway in rain, the car was being navigated through the emerald arcade of interlaced branches. Into the distance beneath clouds lasted the caprices of mountain silhouettes. Inside the car, rhythms were flowing mellow with mumblings stirring slow — straightaway I felt a surge of desire that this ride just should go on and on, in the name of, but not especially for, our predetermined destination.

色之天然：保留了腐蚀痕迹的矮墙，绒毯一样的园坪苔藓。从胡金铨曾取景于韩国古寺的几部电影中可见，除了殿宇本身，庭除的古朴和园木的风度同样不可缺少。
声之静寂：雨雾中朦胧了原点的鸡鸣，患风湿病的木构架关节和肋骨被雨丝风片敲打出的梆梆低吟，风流的竹林欠伸时剥剥沙沙的响声。
香之幽暗：空空的大雄宝殿内朽坏的、臭臭的香气，唤起曾在安岳木门寺大殿内的印象。
The integrity of Song and Yuan monastery vibes
Naturalness of colour: corrosion-splashed low walls, carpet of moss covering the courtyard. As was the Korean ancient temple filmed in several of King Hu’s works, a subdued refined garden and genteel vegetation are of equal importance.
Tranquility of sound: chicken clucking faintly in rain fog, rat-tat of raindrops on rheumatism-plagued wooden joints and ribs, and elegant bamboos stretching and rustling.
Obscurity of smell: decrepit almost-musty fragrance within the grand hall evoking memories rooted in the Mumen Temple.
